Each week the children are given a reading paper on the Monday. There are a  maximum of 4 texts to complete. The children are expected to read a text every other night and answer the questions associated with it. Of course some children prefer to do the whole paper in one go. It should take no longer than an hour.

The children should also be practising their spellings. We have found the app Squeebles has had an amazing difference to the spelling results within the class and cannot recommend highly enough downloading this app at home. Here they can practise the year 5/6 spellings and input the spellings we have learnt and are revising so far.
