Celtic Village Showcase

Thank you to everyone who was able to come and support Yellow’s showcase yesterday. It was wonderful to see the children put such enthusiasm and knowledge into their tours of their Celtic Village which had been invaded by the Romans. It was a great opportunity to develop their speaking skills, share their new learning and practise answering questions and explaining their knowledge in History. They loved sharing all they knew about how Britain changed when the Romans came. I think the song ‘Invade’ really summed up life in Britain between 0 and 1066AD. The enthusiasm with which they told their visitors to ‘sharpen their blade’ to help them survive in Britain through so many invasions was fantastic! Thank you for supporting the children with costumes – it really helped them to get into character.
