Ashperton Primary Academy

Welcome toAshperton Primary Academy

Prospective Parents

Thank you for taking the time to visit our school website.

We are thrilled that you are interested in our school and would like to assist you further in making the important descision of choosing the right school for your child.

At Ashperton we hold an Open Morning, which is usually in October or November.  The Open Morning gives prospective parents an opportunity to visit the school, meet other prospective parents and chat to the staff over a cup of tea or coffee.

During the Open Morning, you will be given a tour of the school by some of our older pupils and will see all the classes at work.

If Ashperton is your choice of school, which we hope it is, you need to indicate this on your admissions form.  The Local Authority then allocate school places and will let you (and us) know in writing.

As soon as we recieve our list of 'new intake', the Ashperton Induction process begins.  This involves meeting your child at their pre-school setting, inviting them to attend functions, clubs and 'induction days' at school.  You will be invited to a Welcome evening, where you will find out all about life at Ashperton and will recieve a DVD to take home and discuss with your child.

Ashperton School was judged as outstanding following an Ofsted inspection in December 2009.

We do our best to ensure that the transition between pre-school or home to school is as smooth and enjoyable as possible (for both parents and children).

If you would like any further information or a personal tour by the Headteacher, then please contact Mrs Brown in the School Office on 01531 670385.  We are always happy to hear from you.
