Ashperton Primary Academy

Welcome toAshperton Primary Academy

Prospective Parents

Thank you for taking the time to visit our school website.

At Ashperton we hold an Open Morning, which is usually the Autumn term.  The Open Morning gives prospective parents an opportunity to visit the school, meet other prospective parents and meet the staff and children.

During the Open Morning, you will be given a tour of the school by some of our older pupils and will see all the classes at work.

If Ashperton is your choice of school, which we hope it is, you need to indicate this on your admissions form.  The Local Authority then allocate school places and will let you (and us) know in writing.

We have a comprehensive induction process to make your child's transition into school as smooth as possible. Mrs Marriage will meet your child at their pre-school setting to begin to get to know them and you will also be invited to bring your child into school, to a range of induction events.  We hold a welcome evening, for parents, where you will find out all about life at Ashperton and The Early Years Foundation Stage and where you will receive a DVD on life in school to take home and discuss with your child.   We also invite you and your child into school for a 'Stay and Play' afternoon, to become familiar with the Early Years learning environment, meet the Early Years staff and to meet others who will be in your class.

We do our best to ensure that the transition is as smooth and enjoyable as possible (for both parents and children).
